Artist's Comments
This is a portrait of Sinclair, a character written by Montgomery Mullen.
I experimented a lot with this piece doing some things I'd never tried before, and I like what came of it. I wanted very much to capture Sinclair well. The eyes were key. "....with the sort of impossible proportions that drew the eye of man and woman both. No matter what flesh Sinclair was wearing, the eyes were always the same; blue and cold, like arctic sky, poisonous as mercury." Do read Montgomery's delicous account of Sinclair, which can be found here: ********** [link] *********** 8x10, heavy composite photomanipulation and painting and filters and things and stuff....
